Overview
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management, spreadsheet modelling and accounting, with proficiency in various accounting software including Xero.
This role is pivotal in growing and scaling the current business.
Responsibilities
* Oversee all financial operations, including, forecasting, decision modelling and reporting.
* Manage, cover leave and busy periods support accounts assistant / book keeper.
* Prepare a model to assist the forecasting and decision making and scenarios.
* Daily monitoring of marketing spend and returns.
* Marketing funnel conversions, track and identify trends.
* Ensure financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
* Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
* Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
* Manage property portfolio investment decisions.
* Make financial savings in business operating costs.
* Increase revenues from bad debts and missed income opportunities.
* Analyse capital expenditure and property projects.
* Look for all opportunities of efficiencies in time and money for finance function.
* Suggest systems and process improvements to scale and grow.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a finance department.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in relation to accounts payable.
* Proficiency in accounting software Xero.
* Excellent spreadsheet skills to create models from scratch.
* Interests in marketing spends and determining returns from customer relationship tools - GHL (no experience necessary) but the ability to interrogate non-financial activity data to calculate returns on marketing spends.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
* Exceptional communication skills for liaising with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
* A degree in Finance, Accounting, qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
