About the role
We are looking for an experienced residential child care officer for a short break residential service in North Tyneside, caring for young people with complex disabilities.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for providing person‑centred care to children and young people with complex disabilities, supporting their therapy and safeguarding needs, and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications & Experience
* NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care, or be prepared to study to gain this qualification within a 2 year time frame from the date of appointment.
* Experience of working with children with complex health needs and/or autism.
* Enhanced DBS disclosure required.
* The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975, and an Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required.
