A well-regarded secondary school in Peterborough is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Drama and Performing Arts Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment where the arts are valued as a key part of the curriculum.
The Role
You will deliver high-quality Drama and Performing Arts lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience desirable but not essential). The successful candidate will inspire students to develop confidence, creativity, and performance skills while supporting academic progress.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Drama and Performing Arts lessons
Prepare students for assessments, examinations, and performances
Create an inclusive and positive learning environment
Monitor, assess, and report on student progress
Contribute to extracurricular activities, including productions and clubs
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Specialism in Drama and/or Performing Arts
Experience teaching in a UK secondary school
Strong classroom management skills
A genuine passion for the performing arts
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
