Continuous Improvement Manager
We are currently partnering with an innovative company that provide safety critical solutions to help nuclear, space and aerospace as well as industrial companies. A Global Engineering business who are a design and manufacture leader -Providing exceptional expertise is vital when working with clients whose processes operate in extreme environments. Our client is looking for an individual who can operate in the capacity of Continuous Improvement Manager
As Continuous Improvement Manager you will drive continuous improvement by delivering results in safety, quality, delivery, cost, culture, material, and information. Identifying and actioning opportunities for improvement, you will look to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and waste and improve overall quality.
This position will be responsible for leading multi-functional teams to deliver the projects in complex environments.
Key Responsibilities asContinuous Improvement Manager:
* Offering sound leadership and coaching, leading, and facilitating continuous improvement opportunities, driving cultural change -implementing best practices
* Standardise improvement tools and techniques across the business ie: Value stream mapping, waste identification, SIPOC, 5S Root Cause Analysis as Appropriate for the business.
* Work alongside all departments identifying process opportunities to improve quality, customer service, unit cost, safety, and compliance.
* Encouraging a strength-based approach.
* Providing a direct hands-on support to areas of the business in immediate need while coaching local improvement talent to develop long term sustainability.
Experience asContinuous Improvement Manager:
* Ideally a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
* Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing/ Six Sigma/ Project Management
* Experience in multiple functions ie: production, materials, manufacturing engineering, QA, E, H & S, purchasing etc
* Demonstrable experience of application of lean techniques such as 5S, root cause analysis, value stream mapping, Kaizen, SIPOC, TQM, JIT, TAKT
* Excellent business acumen, commercially astute
* A good understanding of Quality Systems and measures
* Ability to obtain security clearance up to SC level.
