The Role
At Hain Daniels we are currently recruiting for Temporary Health & Safety Coordinator at our site based in Grimsby. The purpose of the Health & Safety Coordinator is to work closely with the Group Health and Safety and Site Management teams to promote safety attitudes, safe work practices and environments as well as manage, maintain, and administer the Health and Safety program with the objective of minimizing accidents and incidents.A large part of the role will be as Hain Celestial UK’s Safety Software Specialist, and as such you will be heavily involved with its’ inception and integration into the company working closely with the software provider. You will also be integral in providing / organising training to the Management teams, and pulling reports together as and when required
Key Responsibilities
1. Working closely with the Project Lead on the inception and integration of new safety software into the business, working closely with the software provider
2. Pull site-specific and full company reports from the system on general Health and Safety statistics and trend data
3. Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics
4. Plan and implement OHS policies and programs
What you will need for the role / what it will take
5. Level 3 General certificate in occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
6. Experience within the food industry
7. You must be well-organised and able to use your own initiative to prioritise workload
8. IT literate
