Procter Street was formed to provide industry leading multidisciplinary services to the construction industry, employing only the best people to deliver amazing results. We work with clients, contractors and developers in a range of sectors including Energy and Power, Highways, Nuclear and Utilities to name a few, to support with a smooth delivery of projects.
The role
In this role, the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the Cost & Project Management business requirements. These projects can range from extensions for small contractors, through to large civils projects, high value buildings to specialist energy contractors and more.
Other duties include:
* Managing costs on a wide variety of projects
* Offer strategic guidance to clients, including prioritising spending, outsourcing to subcontractors
* Prepare budgets and estimates and manage onsite costs
* Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work
* Performing risk and value management and cost control
* Advise on procurement strategy
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a civil engineering background, and ideally has worked on a variety of infrastructure schemes.
Requirements:
* Planning and time management skills
* Good understanding of civils and construction, ideally with pipeline experience
* Knowledge of NEC3 and 4
* Problem solver with construction knowledge
* IT skills - competent Microsoft packages included Excel and Project
* Ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines
