Standish Head Office Contract

Purchase Ledger Clerk (6 Month FTC)

Location: Standish, Ainscough Crane Hire (Hybrid working available)

Ainscough Crane Hire are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the team in Standish, Wigan, on a 6 month fixed term contract. You’ll be pivotal in ensuring supplier invoices are processed, approved, and paid on time while reconciling accounts and resolving queries. Role Responsibilities

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, your responsibilities will include:

7. Processing invoices within KPIs.
8. Collaborating with internal teams to resolve any delays or queries.
9. Managing supplier expectations regarding invoices and payments.
10. Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.
11. Overseeing key supplier accounts (Senior Clerk will take the lead).
12. Supporting team collaboration to ensure deadlines are met.
13. Providing additional support to the Purchase Ledger Manager as needed.

Person Specification

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

14. Minimum qualifications: GCSEs or equivalent in Maths & English.
15. Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an accounts department, preferably within purchase ledger.
16. Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
