General Job Description / Key Responsibilities

Focus, duties and responsibilities:
* Execute Group instructions regarding Purchasing standards and practices
* Management of BAU and Projects through the Purchasing team
* Allocation of workload, Department capacity management, and ongoing review of the team to achieve goals, targets, and meet all deadlines
* Stock management of repeat order items via MRP
* Project Buying Management
* Stock management of inventory held at third parties – control, audit
* Manage RFQ’s via the in-house software application, delegate, instruct, and review returns with the Purchasing team
* Conduct Kick Off meetings with internal stakeholders as required
* Negotiate on price and lead time
* Update ERP system with coding, supplier data, and price lists
* Interface with accounts payable and resolve invoice issues
* Manage supplier relationships, including regular performance reviews, audits, and visits
* Implement process improvements aligned with business needs
* Conduct spend analysis and proactively steer towards approved and/or preferred supply chain partners
* Help define, shape, and implement procurement workflow strategy
Objectives / Key deliverables
* Manage the team daily and oversee all departmental duties
* Manage KPIs and metrics for suppliers and the Purchasing team
* Handle raising codes, review MRP, place orders, and manage P2P process
* Monitor and manage freight and shipping costs within the UK, EU, and FE
* Allocate work for BAU and project tasks effectively
* Coordinate with Goods In on inbound space constraints, delivery timing, and quality issues
* Manage subcontract MO
* Maintain basic MRP data
* Control shorts
* Oversee the process of progress chasing inbound POs
Key Competences / Skills
* Relevant experience, preferably in purchasing, project management, or manufacturing environment
* Experience managing a team in a fast-paced setting
* Experience in retail or shopfitting industry preferred
* Effective negotiation and persuasion skills
* Knowledge of warehouse processes and inventory management desirable
* Familiarity with production parts and supplier manufacturing processes desirable
* Strong numeracy and analytical skills
* Proficient in Word, Excel (including lookups), PowerPoint, Outlook
* Experience with ERP/ MRP systems
* Experience procuring from the Far East advantageous
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage and work within a small team and with various stakeholders
* Receptive to fast-moving, challenging, and expanding operations
* Calm under pressure, able to multi-task, and re-prioritize effectively
* Self-motivated with initiative and creative problem-solving skills
* Confident and personable
