We are seeking a Finance Officer to support the efficient and effective operation of the finance function. This role involves accurate financial processing, maintaining high-quality records, and assisting with budgeting, reporting, and financial administration. This is a Part Time Permanent opportunity. Key Responsibilities * Produce sales invoices, post receipts to the sales ledger, manage direct debit collections, and monitor aged debtors. Support the collection of outstanding payments and resolve queries with relevant teams. * Process purchase invoices, ensuring all payments are properly documented, authorised, and communicated to managers for timely and accurate processing. * Manage petty cash, maintain accurate records, and post petty cash transactions to the accounts system. * Post bank statements and reconcile bank accounts within the accounting system. * Support the management of restricted funds, charitable income, and grants, ensuring any discrepancies or overspends are promptly addressed. * Assist with internal payroll administration in coordination with HR. * Conduct weekly banking, including the bank run, and resolve any related issues. * Input and manage financial data in spreadsheets and CRM systems, supporting invoicing, banking, and reporting activities. * Process payments to external services and handle payments via phone and in person. * Manage and respond to finance-related email enquiries, escalating where necessary. * Support budgeting and forecasting by gathering, validating, and analysing financial data. * Provide cost analysis and financial summaries on request. * Undertake other finance-related tasks as required, such as posting journals, administering pensions, and assisting with management accounts preparation. General Responsibilities * Maintain strict confidentiality of all business, staff, and client information in line with data protection regulations. * Comply with organisational health and safety policies and other relevant procedures. * Support organisational profile-raising activities and participate in charitable events. * Undertake any training necessary to fulfil the responsibilities of the role.
