Are you a hands-on, supportive Finance Manager seeking a high-impact interim role within a dynamic and innovative business?

We are exclusively supporting a multi-award-winning, Bristol-based industry leading business during a period of exciting transformation. Following a recent business change and with international expansion underway, they require a seasoned Interim Finance Manager to provide crucial leadership and stability for their dedicated finance team.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a well-structured environment with a clear handover period (mid-November) and make a tangible impact, ensuring financial operations continue to excel.

Location: Clevedon (Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days remote)
Duration: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Start Date: Late September 2025
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (pro-rata) + Excellent Benefits
Working Pattern: 3 days per week (22.5 hours) - Full-time hours also considered for the right candidate.

The Role:

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be the operational lynchpin for the finance function. Your primary focus will be on leading the day-to-day financial activities, nurturing a talented team, and ensuring robust financial control and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership: Provide hands-on, supportive, and approachable day-to-day management for a team of 5, including a Management Accountant and Payroll specialist.
2. Management Accounts: Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts and insightful analysis.
3. Payroll Management: Take ultimate responsibility for the end-to-end payroll process, providing cover and support for the payroll assistant.
4. Audit & Year-End: Support the annual audit and statutory year-end process, with full support from senior finance leadership.
5. Systems & Processes: Utilise your strong MS Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) skills to ensure system integrity and efficient financial operations.
6. Compliance: Ensure robust financial controls and adherence to ISO standards, VAT, payroll taxes, and R&D reporting.

What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking either a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified by experience Accountant with a proven track record as a supportive and effective people manager. You must be available to start at the end of September for a handover.

Essential Requirements:

7. A supportive, hands-on, and approachable leadership style - this is our number one priority.
8. Proven, recent UK payroll management experience.
9. Strong, hands-on experience with MS Dynamics 365 BC.
10. Comfortable leading audit and year-end processes (support is available).
11. Immediate availability for a September start on a fixed-term or dady

The Offer:

12. A competitive daily rate equivalent to a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 (pro-rata).
