We are committed to Delivering Compassionate Excellence, with values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement and excellence. These values underpin the quality of care and professional relationships we offer to patients and colleagues.
These values include a focus on a safe, respectful hiring environment and, where relevant, participation in values-based interviewing.
Main duties of the job
Clinical
The Trust provides Gynaecology services across three sites (John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford, Horton Hospital Banbury and Churchill Hospital, Oxford). The successful applicant will work across all sites and undertake a combination of general Gynaecology and specialist clinics. The specialist clinics will include Endometriosis and other areas of the candidate’s choosing. The post-holder will undertake regular weekly theatre lists at the John Radcliffe Hospital and manage in-patients there. Gynaecology on-call duties are expected at a rate no more frequent than 1:9, with on-call support and guidance for the Early Pregnancy team when on call. Some clinics may be located outside the acute trust and may evolve over time.
The successful candidate will be expected to keep up to date with emergency Gynaecology and provide advice to the Early Pregnancy team during on-call periods. The post holder will participate in joint theatre sessions at the Churchill Hospital and collaborative work across sites as required. The post also involves contributing to the Oxford BSGE Endometriosis CaRe Centre’s activities and clinical governance.
