Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure (Water Sector) Vertical Recruitment is working on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a respected, independent Construction Consultancy, widely recognised for delivering expert Cost Management and Project Controls services across major UK infrastructure programmes. This role will see the successful candidate embedded within a newly awarded AMP8 framework with Welsh Water (Dŵr Cymru), supporting the Better Rivers Programme across North Wales. This is a high-profile, long-term commission involving the upgrade and modernisation of water and wastewater infrastructure throughout the region. The Role: As part of the consultancy’s Infrastructure Division, you’ll support the post-contract commercial management and cost reporting for a portfolio of water sector projects. The position involves working closely with client teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure delivery under the NEC3/4 suite of contracts. Key Responsibilities: · Provide full post-contract Quantity Surveying services across multiple water infrastructure schemes · Support the management of interim valuations, compensation events, and final accounts · Administer contracts in compliance with NEC3/NEC4 ECC Options A, C, or E · Assist with cost forecasting, risk assessment, and cash flow analysis · Maintain accurate commercial reporting to support project delivery · Collaborate with project and client teams to ensure best-value outcomes · Contribute to a positive and solutions-focused working environment Requirements: · Experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the infrastructure sector (ideally water/wastewater or utilities) · Working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 ECC contracts (Options A, C, or E) · Contract administration and post-contract commercial management skills · Ability to manage workload across multiple projects or frameworks · Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills · Willingness to travel to North Wales (up to 3 days per week) as required Desirable: · Previous experience on water industry frameworks such as AMP6/7/8 · Familiarity with contract management tools (e.g., CEMAR) · Working towards or holding NEC accreditation · Based in or able to travel regularly to North Wales and surrounding regions What’s on Offer: · Opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, long-term water infrastructure programme · Competitive salary and benefits package · Flexible and hybrid working model · Ongoing career development within a growing Infrastructure team
