Pentrehafod School is a thriving community-focused school that has served a wide area of Swansea East since 1976. Pentrehafod School is a growing school, and it is very much a school of choice for students within the Pentrehafod cluster. There are more than 1124 students on roll and we are proud to house a Specialist Teaching Facility (STF) providing support to students with speech and language needs; these young people are fully integrated into the daily life of the school. We are seeking to appoint an excellent and inspirational full time teacher of English for a maternity cover, commencing February 2026.
We are looking to appoint a motivated, organised and innovative Teacher of English. The successful candidate will need to be proactive in monitoring the progress of students in their classes and will need to ensure that students make appropriate academic progress across their teaching groups, and consistently across the Area of Learning.
The successful candidate will be supported by a dedicated team who are committed to ensuring further improvements in pupil outcomes.
