About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Network Supervisor – Quality to join our Buckinghamshire Alliance Planning and Operations team. This operational leadership role is based from Amersham. The position holds full depot‑level responsibility for the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of reactive, revenue and emergency works, ensuring optimum productivity, contractual response times and a consistent “right first time” approach across planning and delivery.
Responsibilities
* Planning and allocation of works: review and validate incoming work orders, liaise with works originators, interface with other supervisors and construction teams, and promote effective use of the Confirm system.
* Project‑specific routine & reactive maintenance: attend stakeholder meetings, conduct site visits, manage labour, plant and material resources, maintain communication with residents, clients and project team, and manage programmes to ensure timely delivery.
* Performance management: monitor and report on productivity, provide data and mitigations for monthly operations reporting, drive daily performance improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Financial & commercial: support cost recovery and hot costing, ensure accurate data capture in Confirm, identify and record variations, and provide quotations.
* Supply chain & client liaison: allocate works to subcontractors and monitor performance, resolve client queries, and provide timely reporting to the client team.
* General responsibilities: promote safety culture and full compliance with BBLP systems, support winter service and out‑of‑hours standby arrangements and deputise for the Principal Operations Manager when required.
Qualifications
* Proven experience working on a Highways Maintenance Contract, including operational management.
* Solid understanding of emergency and winter service operations.
* Good business acumen and strong commercial awareness.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills and adaptability.
* Demonstrated teamwork and root cause problem‑solving abilities.
* Good understanding of works programming.
* Competent user of IT systems, specifically Confirm and Excel.
