I’m recruiting for several Test Engineers, from mid to senior level, to join my client based in North Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting and cutting-edge projects within a growing test team. You’ll need to be happy coming into the Bristol office three days a week, and due to the nature of the work, you must hold a British passport so you can undergo security clearance. The role will initially be more focused on manual testing, but the company is investing heavily in automation and is keen to bring people on board who are curious and eager to get involved with this. The projects are varied and genuinely interesting, covering everything from native Android apps to hardware integrations and connected cloud services. You’ll be joining a team of six testers, made up of both permanent staff and contractors, who work across multiple engineering teams. Automation is an increasing focus, with Python and Pytest being used alongside ADB for Android test automation. There’s also work under way with hardware emulation and broader experimentation with tooling and AI, so while you don’t need to arrive as an automation expert, some experience in tets automation along with an interest in learning and a willingness to explore will go a long way. We’re looking for people with a solid background in manual testing who have some knowledge/ experience with test automation and are keen to broaden their skills. Experience with mobile testing, hardware, or complex systems would be a strong advantage. Just as important, however, is the mindset, the team values curiosity, commitment, and the drive to constantly improve.
