Role: Warehouse / Distribution Operative
Location: Burgess Hill
Hours: Monday - Friday (7:30am - 3:30pm) / 7.5 hours per day & 37.5 hours per week
Pay: £14.91 per hour PAYE (excluding holiday pay)
Temporary 6 Months Assignment - Inside IR35
An excellent opportunity has arisen for multiple Warehouse / Distribution Operatives to join one of our longstanding clients, a leading organisation within the global supply chain sector, based in Burgess Hill.

The Requirements:
Must be a driver and have reliable access to a vehicle due to rural location
GCSE (or equivalent) pass in Maths and English
Previous warehouse, logistics or distribution experience
Ability to work accurately and efficiently within a fast-paced environment
Basic IT skills and comfortable using SAP WM/EWM (training provided)
A team player who is flexible, proactive and safety-conscious
Forklift licence, logistics qualifications or IATA certification (desirable)
Working knowledge of temperature-controlled goods handling (preferred)
The Role:
This hands-on, shop floor-based role forms part of the supply chain department and reports into the Warehouse Shift Supervisor. Your responsibilities will include:
Accurate picking, packing and dispatching of customer orders
Efficient goods receipt and correct placement of stock in designated areas (room temperature, chilled, and frozen)
Meeting personal and team KPIs - ensuring orders are fulfilled OTIF (on time in full)
Assisting with vehicle loading/unloading and general site material handling
Supporting bin replenishment, urgent backorders and cross-docking activity
Carrying out daily housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
Following all SOPs, quality procedures and compliance guidelines
Using SAP Warehouse Management Systems (training provided) to track stock and update processes
Contributing to inventory checks, process improvement, and cross-department support when needed
Adhering to all safety and regulatory standards and escalating any SHE concerns
