EHS Manager (Chemical Industry, Large Organization)

Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership & Compliance – Partner with site leadership to develop and implement strategies that ensure EHS&S regulatory compliance and promote a proactive safety culture.
* Performance Monitoring – Monitor metrics and regulatory updates to drive continuous improvement and ensure alignment with global and regional standards.
* Regulatory Implementation – Lead site-level implementation of Responsible Care Management System (RC14001), Process Safety Management, and other applicable EHS&S programs, ensuring compliance across all disciplines.
* Audit & Systems Management – Coordinate internal, external and third‑party audits, identify improvement areas, and collaborate with regional and corporate experts to strengthen EHS&S management systems.
* Training & Capability Development – Conduct performance reviews, define priorities, and deliver training and mentoring programs to build EHS&S capability across the organization.
* Core Competencies – Translate EHS&S goals into actionable plans using project management and risk‑based decision making, foster collaboration and clear communication, champion continuous improvement, manage change effectively and build trust with stakeholders.
Key Requirements
* Availability to travel occasionally for audits, training and cross‑site support.
* Minimum 5 years of EHS&S experience in a manufacturing environment; chemical industry preferred.
* Strong practical knowledge across key EHS&S areas: environmental compliance (air, water, ground), occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, process safety and management of change.
* Mandatory NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety. Professional certification (e.g., Chartered IOSH) or eligibility to obtain.
* Skills – Proven project and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across sites; high ethical standards and discretion in handling confidential matters; excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels; analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
