Overview
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to effectively manage the Panel and Assessment process in line with Fostering Services Standards & Regulations and the internal standards and requirements of Compass Community.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience or an excellent understanding of the assessment process and the functions of the fostering panel.
Responsibilities
* Supervise assessments and maintain regular contact with assessing social workers to ensure assessments are completed to a high standard and delivered within identified timescales.
* Sit as the Panel Advisor ensuring that the Fostering Panel functions in a transparent and cohesive manner and that decision making is evidenced.
* Monitor panel timetables in conjunction with the panel administrator to ensure efficiency and compliance with Group requirements.
* Monitor and update Management Information Systems, keep accurate records and produce reports as identified.
* Play a key role in the recruitment and training of Assessing Social Workers and Panel Members and the ongoing development of the service.
* Be flexible and possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to use initiative and work under pressure to meet deadlines and enable the smooth running of the service.
