Join Gallagher Bassett at our Ipswich Waterfront Offices as a Trainee Travel Claims Handler. This is a full-time, office-based role where you’ll receive comprehensive training to build your career in insurance. You’ll learn how to handle a variety of travel insurance claims, from lost luggage to medical expenses, while providing exceptional support to customers during challenging times. How you'll make an impact Assist with processing travel insurance claims by reviewing documents, assessing coverage, and determining claim outcomes. Communicate with customers via phone and email to gather information, provide updates, and address concerns. Work closely with team members to ensure claims are processed efficiently and accurately. Maintain accurate records of claims and related activities. Your work will help customers navigate stressful situations with confidence and clarity, making a real difference in their lives. About You Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues. Strong attention to detail to review and assess claim documentation accurately. Problem-solving and analytical skills to evaluate claim validity and coverage. Empathy and composure when supporting customers in potentially stressful situations. A customer-focused mindset to deliver a positive experience throughout the claims process. Computer literacy and confidence using technology. GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths. Some claims experience or a degree in Law would be advantageous. No previous experience is required as full training will be provided.
