Clerk of Works – Woking (Remote / London, Bristol & South of England)
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 + bonus | Remote / Flexible Working
Location: Woking (covering London, Bristol & South of England) | ️ Construction & Property Specialist
Exciting opportunity for a hands-on Clerk of Works to join a well-established property and construction consultancy. Inspect residential and refurbishment sites to ensure high-quality delivery, compliance with drawings, specifications, building regs, and fire safety standards.
Your Role
• Conduct site inspections across residential & refurbishment projects
• Check contractors’ compliance with specs, drawings & regulations
• Review fire safety measures: fire doors, sprinklers, masonry, drylining
• Complete snagging inspections & produce clear defect reports
• Maintain accurate digital records and provide guidance to project teams
• Liaise with consultants, design teams & stakeholders; attend project meetings
Skills & Experience Required
• 5+ years’ construction experience; technical or trade background preferred
• Knowledge of fire safety regulations (Approved Document B, BS 9999, BS 9991)
• Experience with high-risk buildings or façade remediation advantageous
• Professional memberships (ICWCI, MCIOB, RICS, IFE) beneficial but not essential
• Confident communicator, able to manage multiple sites independently
• Fire door inspection experience advantageous
