ROLE: Electrical Maintenance Operative
LOCATION: HMP Millsike

We're looking for a Electrical Maintenance Operative to deliver planned and reactive maintenance services at HMP Millsike, a modern custodial facility focused on rehabilitation, safety, and positive outcomes.
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver planned and reactive electrical maintenance in line with BS and site standards.
Maintain compliance with health & safety, SHE, and statutory regulations at all times.
Complete maintenance documentation accurately, updating systems and records as required.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and management to resolve issues.
Support maintenance across wider building services systems where required.
Required Qualifications: applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.
1. 18th Edition (BS ) qualification or Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (or equivalent).
2. Proven experience providing electrical maintenance services in a large, complex environment.
3. Practical knowledge of building services systems including power distribution, fire, security, HVAC, and public health.
4. Basic to intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
5. A proactive, flexible team player with strong communication skills and high standards of integrity.

Additional Requirements (Security & Vetting):
Right to Work in the UK with valid, in‑date documentation.
Continuous UK residency for the past 3 years, with limited overseas travel.
Successful completion of Enhanced DBS, 5‑year referencing, and CTC vetting.
