Overview
NHSL 225901 R1 Occupational Therapy Clinical Support Worker (LI) – Edinburgh, Scotland. The Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership seeks a range of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Assistant Practitioners and support staff to support home-based rehabilitation services and the new Enhanced Rehabilitation Service, delivering rehabilitation that historically occurred in inpatient settings, in the home seven days a week.
As a key member of the Enhanced Rehabilitation team, you will work with a commitment to collaborative working, deliver high quality interventions, and be person-centred in your approach. This is an opportunity to develop skills in rehabilitation across medical conditions, problem solving, quality improvement and team building, with a focus on helping people live independently in their own homes for longer.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the design and implementation of the Enhanced Rehabilitation Service and related community rehabilitation pathways.
* Provide or support rehabilitation interventions in home-based settings as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Work in a patient-centred manner to maximise independence and wellbeing for service users.
* Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in quality improvement activities.
* Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high quality rehabilitation across a range of medical conditions.
Qualifications and Requirements
* This post requires PVG Scheme membership/record. If not currently a PVG member for the required regulatory group, an application to Disclosure Scotland is required and must be satisfactory before starting.
* The role may be classified as a regulated role under changes to criminal records checks from 1 April 2025; appointment may be subject to joining the PVG Scheme if applicable. Details will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager or Recruitment Team.
* Demonstrated interest in rehabilitation and improving health and wellbeing is desirable.
