We wish to appoint Special Educational Needs Caseworker to join our Statutory Assessment and Review team within Blackpool.
In this key role you will:
- Provide support across the team with efficient management of administration tasks for all statutory processes including; statutory assessment requests and annual reviews
- Respond to queries from all stakeholders including parents/carers, school / education settings, internal and external partners
- Demonstrate your ability to keep accurate records and handle confidential information and files securely according to Council policy
- Work within a fast paced environment; effectively managing your own workload and prioritise key tasks to ensure timescales are met effectively
- Actively develop and maintain communication with educational settings that meet the needs of young people 0-25 years; ensuring timescales are met for placement consultations and annual reviews
- Have experience and confidence in using ICT programmes and Microsoft packages

A good working knowledge of SEND and the statutory processes within the SEND Code of Practice is desirable, however we welcome applicants with strong transferrable skills that would suit this role.
