A Production Coordinator job is now available with an established art consultancy in London! The ideal candidate will be professional with a personable approach to managing long-term supplier relationships and will have experience working with framers. This is a fixed term contract for 12 months, paying up to £45,000.
This successful art consultancy has over three decades of experience working with artists, interior designers, architects, galleries, printers, and framers to create outstanding art collections for luxury hospitality and residential projects.
They are currently looking for a Production Coordinator to join their team on a fixed-term contract maternity cover. This position will suit an exceptionally detail-oriented and highly organised individual who is able to manage their own time effectively.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assisting in the development of artwork frame specifications for both handmade and factory frames for a broad range of artworks
- Compiling and managing a master list of frame specifications for each project
- Placing bulk orders of frames of various specifications, ensuring all sizes and specs are correct
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with framers and other suppliers
- Collaborating with Art and Projects departments to develop production timelines
- Managing production budgets in collaboration with other teams
- Liaising with the team to arrange artwork and framing transportation
- Producing test prints and assisting in reviewing image files & proofing artwork before production
- Digital image resizing and scaling
- Measuring physical artwork and calculating required frame sizes
- Purchasing print supplies
- Financial reporting, including managing monthly expenses
- General project document control and filing, including production schedule documents
- Raise and issue detailed purchase orders, coordinating purchases & financial tracking
- Liaising with vendors to obtain signed POs, T&C's, and invoices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working with large budgets
- Basic understanding of artists' mediums, specifically digital printing processes, painting, and photographic artwork
- Experience working with framers and/or in a framing environment
- Confident in working independently to meet strict deadlines
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel required to a minimum intermediate standard)
- Mac fluent with strong knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop essential), Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams/online communication and file sharing
- Basic knowledge of artwork framing techniques and materials
- Some experience with handling works on paper and paintings
- Having an existing network of moulding suppliers, handmade framers and specialist suppliers for mounts, glass, large format scanning and printing would be beneficial but not essential.
