We're currently working with a forward thinking boutique law firm based in the West Midlands who are looking to bring a dynamic paralegal to join their Employment team. The firm prides itself on providing on delivering high-quality, personal service to both individuals and businesses across various Employment matters. Key Areas You’ll Support On Include:
* Employment tribunal claims, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, and breach of contract.
* Workplace investigations and internal grievance and disciplinary procedures.
* Redundancy consultations and restructuring exercises
* Employment contract reviews, policy drafting, and day-to-day HR advisory work
* Workplace bullying and harassment matters
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing accurate, pragmatic legal advice under supervision to clients ranging from individuals to SMEs and larger organisations.
* Drafting a variety of legal documents, including tribunal responses, witness statements, settlement agreements, correspondence, and internal policies.
* Preparing bundles, reviewing case files, and assisting with the management of cases through to final hearing.
* Conducting detailed legal research and staying up to date with changes in employment law.
* Supporting solicitors in trial and hearing preparation, including liaising with counsel, preparing instructions, and attending proceedings where appropriate.
* Managing administrative aspects of client matters and helping to ensure effective case progression
About You:
* Ideally, you will have prior experience working in an employment law department, though strong candidates with relevant experience in other legal areas such as private client or litigation will be considered
* A passion for employment law and a genuine interest in supporting clients through challenging workplace disputes
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
* Strong drafting skills with a high level of attention to detail
* Organised, proactive, and committed to developing a long-term legal career, ideally within employment law.
* A law degree or equivalent legal qualification is desirable; LPC/SQE progression supported.
