An aerospace manufacturer is looking for a Quality Systems Manager to take ownership of its Quality Management System and ensure full compliance with aerospace and customer standards. This role suits someone who enjoys structure, documentation, audit activity and leading system improvements across a regulated environment.
The Role
• Own, maintain and develop the QMS in line with AS9100 and customer requirements
• Support compliance activities linked to Part 21G, Part 145 or other relevant aerospace approvals
• Lead internal audit planning, delivery and follow up activity across all functions
• Manage external audits and act as the main point of contact for certification bodies and customers
• Ensure procedures, work instructions and controlled documents are accurate and consistently maintained
• Guide process owners with corrective actions, document changes and system improvements
• Monitor system performance, non conformances, key metrics and present updates to senior management
• Deliver training and awareness on QMS, standards and best practice
About You
• Strong background in quality systems within aerospace or a similar highly regulated environment
• Confident working with AS9100 and familiar with aerospace approvals such as Part 21G or Part 145
• Experienced leading audits and working with certification bodies and aerospace customers
• Excellent documentation control skills and a structured, methodical mindset
• Able to work with engineering, production and senior stakeholders to maintain compliance and drive improvement
• Comfortable owning the QMS and acting as the central point for system governance
