Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and care to children, ensuring their well-being and supporting their development. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate and collaborate with families, professionals, and the children themselves.
Duties
* Provide direct support to children, assisting with daily activities and personal care as needed.
* Develop and implement care plans tailored to each child's individual needs.
* Foster a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social development of children.
* Maintain clear communication with families regarding the child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
* Assist in planning and engaging in recreational activities that encourage learning and growth.
* Keep accurate records of activities, behaviours, and any incidents that occur during support sessions.
* Collaborate with other professionals involved in the child's care to ensure a holistic approach.
Experience
* Previous experience working with children is essential; experience in childcare settings is highly desirable.
* A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations as required.
* Familiarity with developing and following care plans is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills are necessary for effectively interacting with children, families, and colleagues.
