Join the RAC as a Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR) division. You’ll bring your expert knowledge and problem-solving skills directly to our members wherever they are, delivering first-class service without the limitations of a traditional garage.
Work is in a mobile capacity with a 40-hour week and sociable hours including some Saturday work.
The Role
As an RAC Mobile Mechanic, you’ll start with support to ensure your success from day one, including a fully equipped RAC van and fuel card, full uniform and PPE, and all essential tools and diagnostic equipment. You’ll diagnose, repair, service, and check vehicles on the move, meeting different customers and making a real difference while maintaining work–life balance.

Responsibilities
* Operate as a mobile technician within the SMR division, diagnosing and repairing light vehicles at customer locations
* Deliver high-quality service and maintain customer satisfaction on-site
* Utilise provided tools, diagnostic equipment, and vehicle van resources to complete tasks
What We’re Looking For
* Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
* At least 3 years’ hands-on experience as a vehicle technician on light vehicles
* A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

* Base salary £38,625, with potential to earn up to £53,000 with bonuses and overtime
