The role This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and proactive individual to join our Business Development & Marketing (BD&M) team on a six-month fixed-term contract. The BD&M assistant will support in the delivery of the firm's marketing and business development strategy. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a keen interest in professional services marketing, possess excellent organisational skills, and take a proactive and flexible approach to their work. They will have exceptional communication skills, a strong sense of curiosity, and the ability to take ownership of responsibilities while working effectively under pressure. Key responsibilities Assisting with the production and distribution of internal and external marketing communications and materials. Supporting the coordination and preparation of directory and award submissions. Helping with both in-person and virtual event management, including logistics and follow-ups. Maintaining and updating website and intranet pages. Researching new business development and marketing opportunities. Sourcing and purchasing branded merchandise and other marketing-related items where required. Attending meetings, taking minutes, and circulating actions. Conducting research related to various areas of the firm's business and BD objectives. Providing support on ad hoc projects and initiatives across the BD & Marketing team as well as the wider firm. Supporting data entry and data cleansing projects to ensure accuracy across internal systems. Build and improve on existing administrative processes. Person specification The successful candidate will demonstrate: Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to form good working relationships. Good organisational skills to enable you to manage your own workload, completing tasks in line with set deadlines. A proactive, helpful attitude and willingness to take on new challenges. Strong IT skills, including being familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). A sense of humour and a flexible team-oriented approach.
