ROLE: Quantity Surveyor
REPORTING TO: Commercial Manager
LOCATION: Warwick
SALARY: £45,000 - £60,000 + Car/Allowance + Package
Summary:
PSR are working with a well-established Main Contractor who are looking to bring on a Quantity Surveyor to their team. This main contractor are going through a period of sustainable growth, they have a low staff turnover and are an active promoter of development from within. The Quantity Surveyor will join a talented commercial team and work close knit with several wider teams in the organization to deliver successful projects and work on several rewarding civils frameworks. The business work primarily as a main contractor and support both private and public clients across a range of civil engineering disciplines.
Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:
* Liaise with operational staff including clients and subcontractors
* Assessment and submission of quotations / compensation events
* Attend internal / external meetings (both electronically and face to face)
* Produce and maintain up to date cost forecast.
* Compile and issue monthly valuations to the client
* Manage subcontract supply chain, issuing orders assessing Subcontract AFPs and the processing of payments
* Carry out reconciliation of cost and value through a monthly CVR process
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be the following:
* Degree qualified (BSc/MSc) in Quantity Surveying
* Experience within a similar role in Civil Engineering
* Demonstrable record of supporting the commercial team managing complex, high value contracts
* Experience of NEC3/4 and/or JCT and working on frameworks
* Experience working for a main contractor or contracting business.

* Excellent ability to work independently and within a team
* Enthusiastic and willingness to take ownership of contracts/frameworks
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Must be an excellent organiser with proven time management skills
* Good commercial awareness
* Full UK clean driving licence
