Responsibilities
* Play a pivotal role in establishing and developing the Integrated Front Door as the main point of contact for safeguarding enquiries within Bedford Borough.
* Ensure all contacts and referrals receive a timely and efficient response.
* Identify the needs of service users and make operational decisions regarding contacts, referrals, and child assessments effectively.
* Adhere to and promote strict information governance procedures, ensuring protocols are maintained.
* Effectively allocate tasks within the team to ensure enquiries are processed in line with guidelines.
* Collaborate with both internal and external partners to process enquiries, assess risks, and decide on next steps efficiently.
* Build consensus and hold ultimate responsibility for decision-making on individual cases.
* Focus on delivering positive outcomes for children and young people.
Requirements
* A degree or equivalent qualification in social work.
* Current registration with Social Work England.
* Recent managerial experience in roles such as Team Manager, Deputy Team Manager, or Assistant Team Manager.
* Extensive frontline experience in Children’s Services, particularly in a Team Manager role.
