Role Overview
We are looking for a calm, resourceful and enthusiastic Senior Support Worker to join our friendly team. You will provide person‑centred care and support to tenants, enabling them to take part in all aspects of everyday life and enjoy a wide range of activities. You will have skills in positive communication and engagement, and will demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support. You will work within a positive behaviour support framework, accept responsibility and grow in confidence as a skilled practitioner.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide person‑centred care and support to tenants in supported living and day services.
* Engage with tenants to support them in everyday life, activities and community opportunities.
* Act as a Key Worker/Co‑Key Worker, planning alongside support networks to achieve tenants’ wishes and aspirations.
* Support personal care, domestic tasks and social engagement activities such as walking, swimming, gym.
* Lead and supervise a team of Support Workers, implementing individualised support and ensuring consistency and effective communication.
* Adhere to agreed guidelines, behaviour support framework and team norms.
Qualifications & Experience
* Prior experience supporting adults with learning disabilities.
* Relevant qualification or willingness to work towards NVQ Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2 or 3 (or QCF Diploma).
* Strong communication and positive engagement skills.
