The Technology Summer Undergraduate Internship Programme:
Assessment Centre: Tuesday 10th February 2026
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) function sets the overall technology strategy for the firm. They are responsible for making sure the systems, platforms, and data that support our advisers, clients, and investment teams are secure, reliable, and future-ready.
Our six-week paid internship is designed for students in their penultimate year of study, offering a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand experience within the Technology and Data team in one of the UK’s largest wealth management organisations. Throughout the internship programme, you’ll be part of an inclusive and supportive team, contributing to day-to-day responsibilities while also working on ad-hoc projects across Cyber Security, Cloud Operations and Data Analytics and Engineering.
This is a chance to build your professional network, develop essential workplace skills, and explore what a future career in Technology and Data at St. James’s Place could look like. The internship provides both structure and flexibility, giving you the opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow in a dynamic setting and upon completion of the internship you have the opportunity of being considered for a position on our Technology Graduate Programme the following year once you complete your studies.
Key responsibilities:
1. During the 6-week internship you will gain exposure to our tech stack, enterprise processes, and data systems
2. Work with teams on tasks in three core disciplines including Cyber Security, Cloud Operations and Data Analytics and Engineering.
3. Support delivery of technology change initiatives and platform enhancements.
4. Assist with data governance, data quality, and reporting processes on our cloud platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Power BI).
What we’re looking for:
5. You must be In your penultimate year at university studying an IT, Computing or Data related subject.

Special Requirements:
You will be required to be In the office a minimum of three days a week during your Internship.
Please note that whilst we accept applications from international students for our internship opportunities, there are some UK Government restrictions on who we can sponsor and so it may be the case that we are unable to offer you a role on our Graduate programmes once you complete your studies.
