My client, an innovative, trusted Multidisciplinary Consultancy, is currently searching for a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their team of specialist engineers, based near Bath.
Essential Criteria
* A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or a similar field.
* Demonstrable experience in authoring Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), drainage strategy reports, and working with Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS).
* Working knowledge of relevant Section Agreements (e.g., S38, S102, S104).
* Proficiency in MicroDrainage WinDES, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
* Confidence in using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, etc.).
* Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
Beneficial additional qualifications include:
* A full UK driving license.
* Knowledge of industry standards such as the NPPF, CIRIA SuDS Design Manual, Sewer Sector Guidance, and Building Regulations.
Responsibilities
As a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Submitting Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports.
* Making planning applications for various projects.
* Conducting research and writing reports based on findings.
* Producing drawings and plans using AutoCAD and lnfoDrainage.
* Visiting sites and attending team meetings.
