A client within the PrivateSector based in Somerset is currently recruiting for an Estimator (Fit Out) to join their Commercial team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, permanent position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a fit out and construction environment.The RoleKey purpose of the role is to manage cost estimation and provide commercial support for fit out projects, from tender through to final account stage, ensuring cost efficiency and contractual compliance under JCT and NEC frameworks.Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:• Production of take-offs and estimates for tender enquiries• Compilation of subcontract tender packs when bidding for new work• Negotiation of contract sum values with both Clients and Suppliers• Supporting the operational delivery team during pre-construction with profitability plans and procurement schedules• Supporting operational delivery during construction via on-site valuations and variation trackingThe CandidateTo be considered for this role you will require:• A Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar• Proven experience with JCT and NEC contracts and leadership of a commercial teamThe below skills would be beneficial for the role:• Ability to interpret drawings into take-offs and schedules of work• Strong digital and organisational skills• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyThe client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.How to ApplyIf this position sounds of interest, email a copy of your up-to-date CV to .uk or call Amy at Service Care Construction on to discuss the vacancy in more detail.Also, if this role is not of interest to you, but you are looking for new opportunities, please still get in touch as we cover all construction-related vacancies across the region.Referral BonusIf this role is not suitable for yourself, but you know someone who may be interested, please pass on their details, or forward these details to them.
