Urgency & Emergency Care Clinician (UECC) – Bolton, Carlisle and Liverpool
Role Overview
The UECC will work within our Integrated Contact Centres (ICC) located across the North West, responsible for the remote assessment of patients while ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care through continuous achievement of high clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct remote triage and assessment of patients via the ICC platform.
* Deliver high-quality patient care and maintain clinical excellence.
* Provide clinical advice to both clinical and non-clinical colleagues.
* Support and mentor staff returning to practice or new to the role.
* Develop additional specialist skills, including managing the clinical queue and referring calls to partner organisations providing Clinical Assessment Services.
* Work a flexible shift pattern including full night shifts, bank holidays and public holidays.
Qualifications and Experience
* Post‑registration clinical experience in face‑to‑face, primary or acute care settings, emergency departments or pre‑hospital roles.
* Experience with triage.
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills to support staff.
* Resilient, highly motivated and passionate about delivering outstanding patient care.
* Ability to adapt to a new and challenging setting.
* Basic computer skills.

Training
Training for this role is full‑time and lasts between 6 and 8 weeks, combining classroom sessions and on‑the‑job mentorship through live calls.
