What's involved with this role: Job Title: Parking and Enforcement Manager Ref: NE Lincolnshire 5279355 Pay rate: £26.06 per hour PAYE Role length: Anticipated 7 months Additional requirements: Ability to travel around Northeast Lincolnshire and undertake out-of-hours working as required The role: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Parking & Enforcement Manager to provide visible leadership and operational management for all aspects of street-based enforcement (in-house and contracted), civil enforcement. You will be a highly experienced professional with a strong track record in operational management within enforcement and parking, particularly in the public sector. You will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication, and budget management skills, with solid knowledge of relevant legislation and industry-standard IT systems. Key responsibilities: Manage day-to-day operations, including resource deployment, budget management, and performance monitoring Develop a positive, proactive performance culture and supporting others to deliver high-quality, value-for-money services for on and off-street parking and street-based enforcement, including environmental crimes such as litter and PSPO breaches Lead, support, and develop the team, providing coaching to maximise potential Monitor and evaluate services, striving for continuous improvement and meeting required standards Advise and support the Head of Service as needed Lead and participate in operational initiatives, projects, and joint operations, ensuring effective relationships with stakeholders Provide expert advice on operational matters to colleagues, senior management, and external agencies, including handling complaints and enquiries Ensure service plans, policies, and procedures align with statutory guidance and performance standards Ensure the safe and efficient operation of staff, including incident and accident reporting and investigation Report relevant incidents to the Police and support staff through investigations and court action What the client is looking for: Educated to degree level or equivalent demonstrable experience Recognised management qualification or equivalent experience Experience managing people, developing teams, and promoting excellent performance management Proven track record in successful operational management in enforcement and parking ideally in the public sector Experience in a customer-facing regulatory or enforcement role Extensive experience managing and resolving complex problems Good working knowledge of relevant legislation (Traffic Management Act 2004, Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions, PSPOs, Environmental Protection Act 1990, Health Act 2006) Ability to manage budgets and all aspects of cost management Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills Skilled in IT and industry-standard systems How to Apply: Quote the Job Title and Reference Number in your application.
