Role Overview
The position is for a General Manager to lead a dynamic team in the new Belfast store. Responsibilities include supporting salespeople to achieve targets, ensuring smooth operations, and fostering a first‑rate customer experience.
Responsibilities
* Manage and inspire the entire team to achieve and exceed sales targets with a customer focus.
* Maintain high administration standards.
* Plan workforce and schedule for the store.
* Provide ongoing training and understanding of all store processes.
* Coordinate with the marketing team on store initiatives.
* Analyze local competitors and position the store competitively.
* Set and monitor staff training standards.
* Manage probationary employees.
* Collaborate with HR and Retail Operations on staff matters.
* Develop succession plans and build a talent pool for the store.
Qualifications
* Exceptional communication and coaching skills.
* Proven people management and teamwork experience.
* Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
* Proficient Microsoft Office user with a quick learning ability for in‑house systems.
* Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Furniture retail experience is a plus.
* Strong initiative and ability to elevate issues appropriately.
