Senior Estimator Remuneration ● £60,000 – £75,000 (dependent on experience) ● 25 days holiday bank holidays ● Matched/contributory pension scheme ● Private health care & cash plan (family cover included) ● Company car or car allowance (EV/hybrid options available) ● Online GP service (24/7) ● Employee assistance programme ● Life assurance ● Cycle to work, salary finance & give-as-you-earn schemes ● Enhanced maternity, paternity & adoption leave ● Reward & recognition scheme ● Discounts through employee portal ● Discretionary bonus scheme Senior Estimator Responsibilities ● Review and assess bid opportunities, supporting bid/no-bid recommendations ● Evaluate project risks and identify potential issues early ● Prepare detailed tender submissions and post-tender presentations ● Check accuracy and completeness of client tender documents ● Determine civils Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and build up rates from first principles ● Produce compliant, accurate cost estimates within defined deadlines ● Liaise with design, engineering and commercial teams to support bid development ● Drive improvements in estimating systems, processes and accuracy Senior Estimator Requirements ● Proven estimating experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects ● Strong understanding of how electrical infrastructure is constructed and maintained ● Experience delivering capital projects within utilities or energy sectors ● Working knowledge of NEC, ICE and JCT contract forms ● Awareness of National Grid and DNO standards (advantageous) ● Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills ● High attention to detail and strong organisational ability ● Commercially astute with a proactive approach to risk and cost control ● Understanding of project planning and sequencing within construction environments ● Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
