Hill & Hill Recruitment are looking for a Director of Local Government Reorganisation to work on a contract basis with one of our clients.
Job Purpose
* Provide strategic direction and leadership for the client's LGR portfolio of programmes.
* Build the right foundations for the future success of local government in the region.
* Ensure a safe, legal and well-planned transition to the new operating model, minimising service disruption and maintaining a focus on improved outcomes and long-term sustainability.
Scope
* System-level portfolio management and delivery of the LGR programme
* Lead and develop the system Portfolio Management Office and coordinate all programmes and workstreams.
* Work with senior officers and members to develop shadow arrangements, decision-making frameworks and implementation plans.
* Ensure comprehensive risk management, governance, compliance and assurance.
* Set and maintain the strategic roadmap, critical path and milestones.
* Translate political ambition into deliverable and measurable plans.
* Establish and maintain disciplined Portfolio Management Office arrangements.
* Establish strong portfolio structure and programme management arrangements
