SEND Teacher Job – KS2/KS3 | Specialist School | Wolverhampton
Job Title: SEND Teacher – KS2/KS3
Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands
Contract Type: Full‑time, temporary (via Hays Education – timesheet basis)
Start Date: September 2026 (or earlier if available)
An established specialist SEND school in Wolverhampton is seeking a full‑time SEND Teacher to support a small KS2/KS3 class of up to 6 pupils. This opportunity is available through Hays Education on a timesheet basis, initially on a temporary contract, with the potential for longer‑term or permanent opportunities.This is an excellent role for a primary or secondary trained teacher, SEND teacher, or ECT with a passion for special education, looking to work in a nurturing, well‑resourced setting with excellent classroom support.
The SEND Teacher Role
1. Full‑time teaching responsibility for a KS2/KS3 SEND class (maximum 6 pupils)
2. Plan and deliver differentiated SEND lessons tailored to individual learning needs
3. Support pupils withplex learning difficulties,munication needs, and SEMH
4. Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and support staff
5. Maintain a structured, calm and inclusive learning environment
6. Contribute to EHCP oues, behaviour plans and personalised learning programmes

SEND Teacher Requirements
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS) or equivalent
8. Experience teaching pupils with SEND (ASD, MLD, SLD, SEMH ormunication needs) — or a strong interest in specialist education
9. Confidence teaching pupils working below age‑related expectations
10. A patient, resilient and relationship‑driven approach
11. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary SEND team
ECTs and teachers transitioning into SEND education are encouraged to apply.
