Private Client Solicitor (4+ PQE)
Location: Canterbury
Salary: Competitive | £70,000 - £90,000 total remuneration package
Working pattern: Full-time | Hybrid working available
We are recruiting for an experienced Private Client Solicitor (4+ PQE) to join a well-established and growing Private Client department based in Canterbury.
The Role
You will handle a broad and interesting Private Client caseload, including:
* Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Inheritance Tax planning
* Complex estates involving UK and overseas property and tax issues
* Court of Protection matters
* Trusts and agricultural estates
* Administration of straightforward probate matters, with complex cases referred to Partners as appropriate
You will also:
* Meet clients in the office, at home, in hospital, or remotely as required
* Play an active role in business development, networking and marketing events
* Supervise and support junior fee earners and trainees
* Maintain accurate time recording and comply with internal systems and procedures
* Attend departmental meetings and relevant training to maintain technical knowledge
About You
* Solicitor with 4+ years' PQE in Private Client work (applications from all experience levels considered)
* Strong technical grounding across core Private Client matters
* Comfortable advising clients on sensitive and complex issues
* Willing to contribute to supervision and development of junior team members
* Commercially aware with an interest in business development
* Professional client-focused approach
