They are on the lookout for an experienced, enthusiastic Hydraulic Modeller, willing to take on a variety of projects alongside a growing team of experts, based near the beautiful, conveniently-located town of Reading.

Responsibilities for the role of Hydraulic Modeller Developer include:
8. Creating models using software packages such as Flood Modeller Pro and Tuflow
9. Authoring Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), Flood Consequence Assessments, Drainage Strategies, etc.
10. Producing Nutrient Neutrality Assessments, hydrological assessments, natural flood management, re-wilding, and wetland management projects
11. Supporting colleagues, generating technical reports based on data that has been collated collaboratively
12. Liaising closely with clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
Required skills and experience for the role of Hydraulic Modeller include:
13. A Degree in Hydrology or Civil Engineering (or a similar, relevant field)
14. Experience of working in a hydraulic modelling/flood risk role, within a UK-based consultancy
15. Excellent working knowledge of relevant software systems (including Flood Modeller Pro and Tuflow)
16. A keen interest in hydrology, including experience of having worked on hydrological projects for residential and commercial projects
17. Demonstrable understanding of all aspects of flood risk and drainage, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
18. Experience of working closely with a range of clients and other stakeholders
19. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
20. Keen interest in data interpretation and manipulation, particularly when applied to report-writing
21. Hold a valid UK driving licence
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Hydraulic Modeller include:
22. Good knowledge of the local area and surrounding region
23. A keen interest in climate change and its effects on water-based environments
