Job Title: IT Engineer

The Role
This position offers on‑site support to a client based in Sheffield, acting as an ambassador for TIEVA. The role involves delivering exemplary customer service, working closely with our internal IT team, and providing both 1st and 2nd line support on a rolling schedule of 3 weeks on the client site and 1 week at the TIEVA Head Office (LS28 5QS). Full access to the TIEVA technical team of 35+ engineers is provided for escalations and resolution support.
* Analytical fault finding on networks and systems, including servers, switches, firewalls and routers
* Deployment, maintenance and repair of end‑point systems
* Password resets, profile repairs/configurations, new starters and mail release/block management
* Communication of information to technical and non‑technical users
* Assist with scheduling and delivering project rollouts such as laptop/mobile device deployments
* Provide holiday cover for the internal IT team when required
* Support in the client’s production facility, following health & safety measures and wearing PPE as needed
The Candidate
* A "customer first" mentality
* Solid experience in 1st and 2nd line IT support
* Technical experience or qualifications in Microsoft and related products desirable
* Experience with service desk environments, ideally in an MSP environment
* Excellent customer service skills
* Experience with data centre technologies and cloud services
* Capability to maintain and expand documentation as required
* Exposure to server, storage and end‑point technologies
* Desire to learn and expand knowledge to grow within a competitive team
