Private Client Tax Senior Manager
Your role is to ensure the delivery of the private client tax workflow and to manage a portfolio of private client tax relationships. You will provide technical expertise to clients and internal colleagues, ensuring high-quality service while adhering to budgets and maximizing fee recovery.
Scope & Key Relationships
* Assist with SL functional responsibilities
* Provide technical input for internal and external needs
* Manage own client portfolio and develop relationships
* Work with partners, employees, and external bodies like HMRC
Responsibilities:
* Oversee planning, resourcing, and allocation of client work
* Ensure work is within budget and reviewed appropriately
* Provide technical advice and manage the tax return cycle
* Produce high-quality reports and correspondence
* Monitor work progress and communicate with clients
* Manage billing and WIP
* Develop technical skills and stay updated on legislation
Client & Stakeholder Management
* Maintain and develop your client portfolio
* Respond to client requests and manage relationships
* Support cross-selling and internal collaboration
Leadership & People Management
* Line manage and develop team members
* Set objectives, monitor performance, and provide feedback
* Participate in recruitment and foster team culture
Financial & Business Planning
* Monitor team KPIs and performance
* Implement remedial actions when necessary
Business Development
* Build network and generate leads
* Support departmental growth and cross-referrals
