Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with flexible options for fewer hours (minimum 12). We welcome applications from those interested in either option.
The table shows the periods of time in the week wed like you to be available to work. You will have 3 weeks notice of exactly when your shifts will be. As Tescos face on the road, we deliver from Lands End to John OGroats, meeting customers in their homes. Your role is about more than driving – its about helping others and delivering great service with a smile.
Hands on, physical and full of variety. No two shifts are the same. You will feel like your own boss, delivering to customers while our Managers and colleagues support you when needed.

Delivering your part of the customer shopping trip:
* Ensure the van and trays are clean, tidy and organised.
* Leave the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish; pick up litter as seen.
* Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
* Load the van as required and check roadworthiness.
* Communicate order changes, substitutions, and offer refunds for dissatisfaction.
* Treat deliveries as your own.
* Explain that customers will not be charged for substitutions.
* Deliver during customers time slot.
* Call customer before arriving if early.
* Call the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.
* Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit.
* Warm, welcoming interactions with customers and colleagues; thank them.
* Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change.
* Be energetic, driven, and integrate work and home.
* Share ideas with Manager and colleagues to improve service.
* Possess a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
