The role
As a Senior Quality Engineer at Honeywell, you will be responsible for driving Quality improvement initiatives. This is a Full time on site position based in Portsmouth. Work with the existing Quality team and the Development, Operations and Engineering teams to drive Quality improvement initiatives Honeywell Honeywell Industrial Automation enables our customers to run safer and more efficient operations. We Enable our Customers to Enhance the Safety, Sustainability, Resilience and Productivity of their People, Plants, and Assets. Key responsibilities Participate in daily production meetings to address and escalate quality concerns as needed. Coordinate the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process and lead internal quality audits per the site schedule. Actively identify and implement continuous improvement and scrap reduction opportunities to enhance cost of poor quality (COPQ). Utilize Six Sigma tools to analyze defects and improve process yield and reduce variation. Conduct customer complaint investigations using 8D/PDCA methodologies and lead 3rd party audits when necessary. Key skills and qualifications Degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Experience in the process industry within a modern manufacturing environment. Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred, along with strong problem-solving skills. Proficient in computer usage and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Self-motivated with initiative and good influencing skills, fluent in English.
