This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business in a pivotal role, managing the purchasing function and leading a small team. This position is office based and will involve occasional international travel. The Role As Purchasing Manager, you will: * Lead, develop and support a team of two purchasing professionals. * Manage a portfolio of global suppliers with a significant spend, ensuring quality, cost and delivery targets are consistently achieved. * Negotiate robust, commercially secure contracts with new and existing suppliers. * Develop and maintain a structured, stable and competitive supply base, driving continuous improvement and best practice. * Support New Product Introduction projects through to implementation. * Implement effective purchasing strategies, including cost-down initiatives and dual sourcing. * Oversee supplier audits, performance reporting and development. * Work closely with production, engineering, logistics and other departments to ensure seamless material supply.
