New Lyminge Surgery is seeking a friendly, motivated Health Care Assistant to join our supportive primary care team. The post holder will work alongside GPs and the nursing team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to our practice population.
Main duties of the job
The Health Care Assistant will work under the supervision of the nursing team and GPs to provide routine clinical care, including:
Blood pressure monitoring and recording observations
ECGs
NHS Health Checks
Wound care and dressings
Supporting chronic disease management clinics
Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records
Adhering to infection control, health & safety, and practice policies
Preparing and maintaining clinical rooms and equipment
Providing a professional, caring service to patients at all times

The role requires good communication skills, a caring approach, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards at all times.
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience working as a Health Care Assistant in a GP Practice
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Competent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
* Knowledge of EMIS Web
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
* Care Certificate
* Willingness to undertake any further training associated with the role
