SEN Teacher – Loughborough – Start September – £30,000 to £45,000 (Permanent)
Real relationships. Real impact. Real teaching.
We’re on the lookout for an SEN Teacher who gets it — who sees past labels and loves getting to know who a child really is. If you’re the kind of person who lights up when that one quiet student finally opens up or cracks a smile during a lesson you tailored just for them… keep reading.
The Role
Starting this September, this is a permanent teaching post based in Loughborough. You’ll be working mainly 1:1 or with very small groups, so it’s not about juggling big classes — it’s about building trust, spotting the spark in each learner, and running with it.
This isn’t a one-size-fits-all job. You’ll have the freedom to adapt your teaching, be creative, and take your time — because in this role, rapport comes first. When children feel safe and understood, the learning follows. That’s what we’re here for.
What We’re After
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent
* A proper passion for working with children who need something a bit different
* Patience, resilience, warmth — and a good sense of humour doesn’t hurt
* Someone who genuinely enjoys celebrating the small wins — because that’s often where the magic happens
Why You’ll Love It Here
* £30,000 to £35,000 salary (depending on experience)
* 1:1 and small group teaching means you can really make a difference
* Supportive staff team who get SEN and want to do things properly
* Ongoing CPD and the space to try new ideas
* A setting where creative, personalised teaching is not just allowed — it’s expected
About the Provider
You’ll be part of a specialist child service provider that puts relationships front and centre. It’s a nurturing, inclusive space where education is adapted to the child, not the other way around. They’ve got a brilliant team who believe in consistency, curiosity, and kindness.
The Interview Process
We won’t drag it out — just a friendly, focused conversation (about 45 minutes) to get to know you and what makes you tick. We’ll ask about your experience, possibly invite you to show how you’d approach a session, and of course carry out all standard vetting before you start.
